ADDITIONAL TESTIMONIALS
Barbara’s programs are entertaining, intellectually stimulating and highly relevant as the cases discussed are current and raise important and significant issues. She doesn’t just present, but engages participants in discussion on the workings of our highest court and at the same time increases everyone’s understanding of how cases make their way to the court and how the justices frame and finalize their decisions. Also great fun to “vote” on how one thinks the court will decide, and then hear back from Barbara later in the year at the end of the court’s session as to whether that vote matched up with the actual decision.

Barbara Creed calls upon four decades as an outstanding lawyer to offer, in her retirement, a highly informative presentation on issues currently before the U.S. Supreme Court. Selecting three cases, she describes the background and historical significance of each case and the major arguments pro and con. She engages the audience by asking members to indicate how they would vote if they were they on the court. Barbara is a gifted teacher, using clear, non-legalistic language to convey material of direct relevance to all Americans.

I’ve seen Barbara’s Supreme Court presentations several times and every time, I’ve come away saying, wow. That was fascinating, so thought provoking, and left me a much great understanding about the complexities of the cases that come before the Supreme Court. Barbara speaks so gently and quietly as she draws you in, unpeeling the layers of a case as she makes clear a case’s hidden implications. I will never miss a chance to hear her do one of these presentations.
